Sure Thing Chapel Weddings in Las Vegas: A Photographer’s Guide

I have photographed a lot of weddings on Fremont Street, and Sure Thing Chapel has one of the most fun, most photogenic looks in the whole city. If you are the kind of couple who wants a little retro, a little glam, and zero stiff-and-serious energy, this is your place. I am a Las Vegas elopement photographer, and this is my honest, insider guide to getting married at Sure Thing, from the two chapels and what makes each one special, to bringing your own photographer for free, to walking straight out into the Fremont neon afterward. Two chapels, two doors down: pink or blue?

This is the thing most guides skip, and it is genuinely the first decision to make. Sure Thing is actually two chapels a couple of doors apart on Fremont, and they have completely different personalities. Couples always ask me which one to pick, so here is how I think about it.

The original Sure Thing: all pink

The original is the pink one, and it leans full retro. Think warm tones, playful details, and that unmistakable vintage-Vegas feeling in every corner. If your Pinterest board is all bubblegum and neon and cool-girl energy, this is your room. It photographs beautifully because the color does so much of the work, so even a super short ceremony gives us rich, saturated frames.

Sure Thing Too: soft blue and a touch glammier

Sure Thing Too is the newer of the two, and it goes soft blue instead of pink, with a slightly more glam, dressed-up feel. Same fun spirit, a calmer and cooler palette. Couples who love the Sure Thing vibe but want their photos to read a little more elegant than candy-shop often land here. Both are gorgeous, so it really comes down to which color makes you smile.

Bring your own photographer, for free

This is the big one, and it is why so many of my couples choose Sure Thing. Most Vegas chapels bundle in their own photographer and charge you a fee (sometimes a steep one) to bring someone else. Sure Thing is different. They welcome your own photographer, and they do not charge extra for it. In my experience there are only two chapels in town that let you bring your own photographer with no fee at all, and Sure Thing is one of them. What the day actually looks like

Sure Thing runs on time slots, and everything (the ceremony, your vows, the first kiss, the fun) happens inside the chapel during your booked window. Standard packages are usually around thirty minutes, and the bigger packages give you more time. It is quick, which surprises some couples, but that is the beauty of a Vegas elopement. The short, sweet ceremony is the point, and then the celebration spills out onto Fremont.

A typical Sure Thing day with me looks like this: I meet you a little before your slot, we grab some portraits in and around that gorgeous colored room, we shoot the ceremony itself, then we do your just-married photos. From there, Fremont Street is right there waiting.

The photo moments Sure Thing is made for

Part of why I love shooting here is that the chapel hands you built-in moments. A few you will often find (confirm exactly what is included with your package when you book):

• The photo-booth moment. A fun, silly, only-in-Vegas frame that always makes the gallery.
• Heart lights and neon touches. Warm, glowy, and made for close-up portraits.
• The pink or the blue backdrop. The whole room is your set. No extra styling needed.
• A classic-car photo add-on. This is the one moment that steps outside, vintage car out front for that retro getaway shot. It is usually an add-on, so ask about the current fee when you book.

Fremont Street after your ceremony

Here is the part that makes Sure Thing special for photos: it sits right on Fremont Street, so your ceremony spot and one of the best neon photo backdrops in Las Vegas are the same address. That is rare and it is a gift. My favorite plan is to shoot the chapel in daylight or golden hour, then step out into Fremont as the signs light up and the whole street turns electric. You get two totally different looks, soft and warm inside, bold and glowing outside, in one easy walk.

Sure Thing packages, the honest overview

Sure Thing offers a range of packages at both chapels, from a simple ceremony-only option up to bigger deluxe tiers with more time, florals, and entertainment. On their menu you will see named tiers (things like The Sure Thing, The Whole Shebang, and higher deluxe packages at the original, plus their own named tiers at Sure Thing Too).
