Wedding season is all year long in Malibu. Even in the Winter there are sunny skies and warm weather and everyday can feel like a vacation. You can imagine my excitement when a month ago I packed my bags and jumped on a plane to Malibu California for Radhames and Iris Destination Wedding. You might remember Radhames and Iris from their desert engagement session in Las Vegas this summer.
Malibu Destination Wedding
Iris and Radhames wedding was like a fairy tale wrapped in dusty rose, ivory and green colors. The groom wore navy blue and groomsmen accented him in baby blue. With sweeping views of Malibu beach, Iris and Radhames exchanged their vows at Sunset on the great California cliffs overlooking the great Pacific ocean. Their words rang with love, truth and happiness about their caring nature, belief in each other and high hopes for the future. Through the ceremony Iris could be comforted by the sweetest words that Radhames wrote on the bottom of her shoe. He wrote, “Iris, I love you more than you can ever imagine. I love our life together, and I can’t wait to start our family.”
Chinese Traditions at a Destination Wedding
Luckily, Iris’ Chinese culture follows her even to Malibu for her destination wedding. They have a traditional Chinese door game. During the game, the groom and his friends will be given tasks to complete. The catch is- the groom cannot marry the bride until all bridesmaids give them passes on the tasks. At the end of the game, after groom find both of brides heels, he will need to put them on for her and the wedding can begin.“Radhames and Iris, I feel so honored that you came all the way to me for your engagement session, and brought me all the way to you for your wedding day. You are as beautiful on the outside as you are on the inside. It was an absolute pleasure to serve you. Thank you for trusting me with your most valuable memories. I hope you love looking back on your wedding day through my lens as much as I loved witnessing it with my own eyes. I wish you nothing but the very best as you embark on the most fulfilling relationship you’ll ever have in your entire life.”
