Elopements are full of magic made of genuine love, low stress, and a beautiful setting. It’s simple and it’s perfect. As a Las Vegas Wedding Photographer, I am obsessed with anything that stands out among the rest. Smaller weddings have a tendency to show the couples personalities more, because the few things that are involved in the wedding are from the heart.
The Look of the El Matador Beach Elopement
I fell in love with the concept of this elopement from the pastel blue dress. The dress and the location was a central point of this shoot. The flowing blue tulle dress played with the deep blue of the ocean’s waves. The dreamy blue dress was paired with an antiqued hair piece and finished an oversized bouquet of flowers. It was a creative choice for Sabine Blooms to play up the greenery in the bouquet to balance in another natural elements to the shoot. It was fantastic that the groom of this inspirational elopement was wearing khakis and a white dress shirt, because the color palet matched the natural terrain of the sand and rock formations in the background; but it’s also realistic! It’s an easy and classic outfit for grooms to pick out for an elopement. Hint, hint – it matches always matches everything!
The Location
El Matador Beach is a gorgeous beach in Malibu, not too touristy, yet an easy destination for Californians and Las Vegas runaways. This is a convenient destination for any elopement who has always dreamed of a beach wedding. There are plenty of restaurants around ready to cater on the beach if you don’t want to take your toes out of the sand. However; you can always get married on the beach as a couple and meet everyone else for a party at one of Malibu’s many restaurants or event venues.
The Love
The love that is shared in an elopement ceremony is unparalleled. Big weddings often try to get at the heart of what a marriage is all, but in elopements it’s their from the start and always noticeable. The shoot was styled with some comfortable pillows with mixed blue colors. It’s the perfect cozy detail for a romantic getaway. This couple are inspiring me to keep preaching about the wonders of elopements.
