Seasons greetings from the Gubista family! I love this time of year for obvious reasons, but as you may know that when you have kids the holidays become extra special. You not only get to relive your memories from when you were a child, but you also get to create memories, stories, and traditions that will always be a part of your family.

From Weddings to Family Portraits

With so much weight attached to the Holidays and creating your family traditions and memories I am honored to have been a part of yours. This past year has been monumentous to me. Meeting growing families, being there for the beginning of a new family union through many engagement sessions and weddings. This year was a gift!

Dreams accomplished as a Wedding Photographer

I want to thank all of you for letting some dreams come true of mine as well. I got to do a beautiful elopement in Joshua Tree National Park. The landscape’s rough terrain mixed with the softness of creams and tulle was a dream come true to photograph. I also had the opportunity to travel to Malibu for an elopements and weddings. Malibu is an iconic spot and the views are breathtaking. What made the wedding shoot even more special was that I was able to follow the couple from engagement session to wedding day!

When I get to follow families on their journey of life there is nothing more rewarding. I remember when Megumi and James came to me for their maternity shoot. They were warm and loving and I got the sense that Megumi was going to be the most nurturing and patient mother to her baby boy. Just a few months later I got the call that Megumi had given birth and that I would get to take their first family portraits and their son’s newborn photos, tears welled in my eyes.

This is what it’s all about ladies and gentleman, creating precious memories with your family, soaking in their warmth, capturing them with a photo so the memory lasts for many generations. Happy New Year!!!
