Megumi and Jason is as joyful and loving as they come! The two met through mutual friends and got married in Oahu, Hawaii by the ocean. I can imagine the tranquil setting now. Then they were lucky enough to get pregnant on their honeymoon! There is something so special about photographing a couple during this moment of their life, because I get to witness a changing and growing love between them and save it for generations to come.

Maternity Session for a Las Vegas Family

It’s so important to recognize this step in life and not take it for granted, because creating life is hard y’all! Megumi tells us, “I have to say, as much as I love being pregnant, this pregnancy is definitely taking a toll on me. I can’t move my body or do stuff like I normally would and I’m always uncomfortable no matter what position. I had totally underestimated what pregnant women had to go through, I have a strong appreciation for all the mommies now!” I loved every minute of this session with Megumi and Jason. Their session took place at Floyed Lamb Park in Las Vegas at the golden hour. They smiled constantly and contagiously, because they are so genuinely happy about life and in love with each other. The way they were holding the hands and looking at each other made me see they will be perfect parents. Megumi, Jason or I can’t wait for the couples friends and family to see the maternity photos at the baby shower next Saturday! 

Documenting Memories with your Family

I know what you are wondering… is it a boy or a girl?! Well, luck must run in their family, because Megumi always pictured herself having a boy, so when the blood tests from the OB’s office showed they were having a boy the couple was ecstatic! While the explorer themed nursery is ready to go, Megumi says, “we have a couple names picked out, but likely we won’t name him until we see him.” I guess we’ll just have to wait a few more months to find out this precious boy’s name.I hope their son is not camera shy, because the couple is ready to “document his every milestone, especially newborn photos. I know they grow up so fast and time flies by. I want to be present and don’t want to miss a thing,” remarks Megumi. Documenting family time and making family memories are for anyone, not just new families.
