With COVID (how many times have you heard that phrase this month?!), it’s teaching us to live in the present. Whether it’s a good thing or a bad thing, we can’t plan anything right now! That uncertainty for a type-A personality like me, drives me insane! However, you can’t stop love. One would say love is specifically nurtured in a situation when you are truly living in the present and the future is unclear, but you still want to be with this person. We are learning to appreciate time with our family like we never did before.Couple at Floyd Lamb Park Couple walking at the Las Vegas parkEngagement Photos Las Vegas

Engagement Photos at Floyd Lamb Park

I got to spend the afternoon with this incredibly photogenic couple, Jess and Ross, for their Engagement photos at Floyd Lamb Park! It was a thrill for us to be thinking of weddings that won’t be canceled. Despite the challenges and complications of the world right now it was refreshing to see another couple make it through stronger than ever.Floyd Lamb Park Engagement PhotosCouple sitting and touching noses at Floyd Lamb ParkEngagement Session Floyd Lamb Park

An Engagement Years in the Making

Jess and Ross uniquely met on messenger when they were barely teenagers! “I feel like we have never really had a first date. We lived in different towns, so we always met when we could and would just hang out and talk.” Ross noticed Jess’ kindness and when they finally got to meet each other in person Jess noticed Ross’ eyes. They attribute their compatibility to Ross’ understanding and Jess’ very carrying and affectionate personality. Ross and Jess enjoy the time they get together traveling and going out to eat, but the pandemic really brought them together because they feel most content just being at home with their six-year old son.Floyd Lamb Park Engagement Couple holding hands and walking at the Floyd Lamb ParkFloyd Lamb EngagementFamily at the Floyd Lamb Park

Lake Tahoe Proposal and Happily Ever After

Ross took Jess to Lake Tahoe one weekend for a hike and popped the question at the top of the vista overlooking the lake. “It was a surreal moment for me,” Jess says. I always have such a heart for these young love stories and Jess explains it best, she can only describe her relationship as, “lasting.” Through so much growing and changing their relationship has lasted and I am confident that this loving couple will last forever. They are rich in the love they have in their family, between them, their six-year old son and their new baby on the way!
